CanYa Now Listed On Hong Kong Exchange Gatecoin

Hong Kong | 7th of March 2018 – CanYa is very excited to announce that we are now listed on Gatecoin. Gatecoin is a top-tier Hong Kong exchange that has fiat as well as crypto pairings.

Gatecoin is an exchange that through an intuitive trading platform, enable individuals and institutions around the world to trade and invest in a wide variety of cryptocurrencies and blockchain assets.

Artboard 2.png

It was the first exchange to provide direct participation in token generation events (TGEs) or initial coin offerings (ICOs).

The exchange enforces strict know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance policies in accordance with the Hong Kong Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance (AMLO) and global best practices.

Gatecoin’s exchange infrastructure is designed, monitored and audited by world-class security experts to prevent theft of client assets and information. The majority of blockchain asset deposits are stored in offline multi-signature hardware wallets (cold storage).

Thanks to their international payments network, their clients can fund their accounts through fiat currency bank transfers in HKD, EUR and USD.

Despite the name, Gatecoin is not a coin, and has no intention of creating or listing an eponymous cryptocurrency.

CanYa CAN Tokens Fully Supported by Trust Wallet & We’re Celebrating with an Airdrop!

We’re excited to celebrate our partnership with Trust Wallet, our preferred wallet partner.  This post will outline the reasons we have chosen to partner with Trust Wallet, and update you on some very impressive new features that just might come in handy.

Trust Wallet is designed for ERC-20 tokens, which is what CanYa is built on.  The ERC-20 defines a common list of rules for all Ethereum tokens to follow, meaning that this particular token empowers developers of all types to accurately predict how new tokens will function within the larger Ethereum system.

Artboard 3

How does Trust Wallet compare to My Ethereum Wallet?

In short, favorably.

1. Trust was designed to be compact and user-friendly.
MEW, on the other hand, is clunky, and can only really be used on a desktop with any sort of ease.  Given the nature of a 24-hour market, only being able to easily trade on a desktop is not practical.

2. It is equally or even more secure.
Trust and Mew have many similar security philosophies. Both act as clients on the Ethereum network and store keys locally. Trust and MEW each have various ways of securing access to your Ethereum address with passwords, face recognition, mnemonic phrases etc.

3. Where they differ is that Trust has a superior phishing attack protection.
Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and money), often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.  It is a huge problem.  The number of social media phishing attempts increased by 500% in 2017.

With Trust, the chances of being victim to a phishing attack are very low.  In fact, the only way someone can access your funds is if someone gets hold of your device, gets your password for it and then manages to get your Trust app password as well.

DApp Browser

Trust has created something that allows any user to interact with decentralized applications (DApps) directly from the app, safely and securely.  To make users’ lives even easier, they also created a marketplace where any developer can list their mobile optimised DApp for everyone to use.

Airdrop

Artboard 2

As an added incentive to try the wallet (other than advanced security for your hard-earned tokens) we are going to place some of our CanYa token (CAN) into each Trust wallet in the form of an airdrop.

Take-away

Trust Wallet is a fantastic platform that fully supports CanYa CAN tokens. To celebrate our partnership, we’re pleased to be sharing precious CAN tokens, just by downloading the most secure digital wallet available!  What more could you ask for?

CanYa Newsletter #2

Hello from the CEO

The start of February was a very busy time for the team. We continued our global roadshow, meeting partners at events in New Zealand, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Indonesia. We also secured partnerships with Bancor and Origin Protocol.

We have a few more exciting partnerships and initiatives to announce soon, which the team will continue to explain how they align with the CanYa roadmap and help you! The team is growing with now up to 26 team members to handle our growing operations. Our platform releases are on time and we can’t wait to share more details soon.

Our community is No. 1 – they got us voted onto FatBTC with over 700 retweets of their listing competition. As always, we are community-first and will be engaging our community with more competitions, announcements and giveaways. Keep the likes, comments and feedback coming!

Unsold CAN Tokens sent to Asset Contract

The token distribution is 100% complete and all remaining unsold CAN tokens have been sent to the Asset Contract as promised. For the full details on this you can read this blog.

The CanYaCoin Asset contract leads to 10% going to charity, 30% going to the CanYa Community, 30% going to CanYa and 30% being burned forever

As per the whitepaper and diagram above 13.91m unsold tokens were sent to the CanYa Asset Contract as such:

CanYa_Token_Split_Asset_Contract

Token Burn:

As promised, 30% of all tokens were burnt forever. This occurred after they were sent to the ETH contract address finishing in dEaD! Overall total supply is now 95,827,000 CAN tokens.

CanYa_Blog_Tokens_Burn

Changes in circulating supply

Some of you may have notice the circulating supply randomly changing on Coin Market Cap. This is due to the current formula where any tokens moving from the CanYa Operations wallet are added to the circulating supply.

For example when the tokens where sent from this wallet to be burnt they were added to the circulating supply. This issue has been brought to Coin Market Cap’s attention and we are in the process of bolstering this formula.

CanYa Development Update

CanYa Version 2. (codename: SHIFT) is coming soon!

Based on the learnings from our MVP and customer validation, we are integrating significant improvements for the coming version. Our aim is capacity for scale and reliability. We can’t wait to share it with you for feedback!

Goals for the next version:

Our key goals are to rebuild our service provider directory and re-engage providers. It’s time to get our providers to join the NEW CanYa and build their identity in the Blockchain.

Our initial target market is software developers, across all languages, website designers, graphic designers and UX and UI providers. If you fit this description, you need to be on CanYa!

Artboard 5.png

What’s new in CanYa SHIFT:

New design: CanYa gets a fresh new look! New colour palette and design, and a more responsive layout that we will keep improving in next versions. A redesigned interface with a clean, modern appearance and new visual elements, animations and effects.

Sign-in/Sign-up with uPort: Now you can join our platform by creating your identity on the Blockchain. It’s an easy, secure and simple way to register and login to our platform. And uPort is one of the first decentralised services that we will be using to build the decentralised CanYa.

CanYa Bot: Tell CanYa Bot what to do in different situations. E.g. create your profile, change colour schemes, add work to your portfolio, check CanYaCoin price, and more.

Profile customisation: Now you can set and choose between different colour schemes, you can add work to your portfolio, post comments and see the first version of our Reactions Engine. CanYa Reactions will allow our users to give feedback to create a transparent peer review system.

Search engine: A completely new search engine, designed to take full advantage of the content that our providers will add to their profiles, to find the right service provider for you.

And much more: Testing for decentralised services for the next release, special listings and featured providers.

  • Nordic
  • Russian
  • Chinese
  • Turkish
  • Vietnamese

HODL Group

Telegram does not allow you to create large private groups. With this in mind we have created our HODL private channel in Discord. This is a place for all HODLers to chat, vote, hear about the latest CanYa news and find out when HODL club air drops will be occurring.

Artboard 3.png

If you’re an OG HODLer and haven’t joined the group yet then please do so!

Earn.com

The CanYa team ran the biggest co-ordinated air drop in history thanks to our partners at earn.com.

The Telegram channel swelled to over 16,000 participants making it the biggest crypto telegram group in Australia!

These new members will be air-dropped their CAN tokens no later than the 15th of February and will be encouraged to buy more to join our awesome HODL club community.

CanYa_Featured-Images-Airdrop-Distribution

HODL Club

The HODL club members have been identified and notified. We have a total of 528 OG HODLers still in the club after the ICO ended. There are also a large number of applicants waiting the mandatory 45 days to join either of the two tiers of the HODL club.

The HODL club can be joined at any time with 10,000 CAN required to join the OG tier and 2500 CAN required to join tier 2. Once new applications are received they will be required to wait the mandatory 45 days as a ‘proof of HODL’ test.

You can apply for the HODL club by heading to our HODL club website: https://hodl.canya.com/

AirDrop

Artboard 4.png

The first HODL club airdrop (for all of our OG HODLers) will occur within the next fortnight!

Please join the HODL club discord channel if you have questions about this.

First Vote for HODL’ers

The first vote put out to our HODL club members will be what to officially name the two tiers of the HODL club. It’s your club so you should be able to decide what you want it to be called!

New HODL Club website

We are currently working on a new HODL club website that will make the application process completely automatic. You’ll also be able to see statistics, chat to your fellow HODLers and do a lot of other cool stuff!

Bountysource

Bountysource is the world’s first open source software development bounty platform. The work-plan is to refresh the platform, integrate a crypto CAN token payment layer, and re-energise and re-engage the 46,000+ user base, major partners, and everyone that needs open source bug bounty and auditing on their software!

Bountysource development team update

The team recently met in Malaysia to review progress on the Bountysource facelift and to firm up plans for future releases.

Bountysource powered by CanYa

FatBTC ran a twitter competition and our awesome community made their voice heard! We received a high number of votes and because of this FatBTC decided to list the CAN token for free! Thanks to all those who voted.

Bancor

While not a traditional exchange the Bancor listing will significantly help CAN token liquidity once it is in high demand from the Bountysource and CanYa 2.0 platforms. We are very pleased to be associated and listed on such a reputable platform.

Announcing a $2m CAN Token Buy Back

CanYa announces a $2m token buy back

$CAN Token opportunity

With the recent dip in the broader crypto market, the CanYa team is making most of the opportunity to purchase CAN off the open market. CAN tokens will be allocated towards scaling the CanYa and Bountysource projects. CanYa is buying up to $2M AUD worth of tokens off the market.

CanYa has made the decision to purchase CAN on the open market for the purpose of investing in CanYa projects. At today’s prices, we can best purchase and re-deploy CAN towards CanYa and Bountysource.

The CanYa Team is focused on the long-term success of the CanYaCoin through both of the use cases of CanYa and the Bountysource platforms. With Bountysource’s crypto integration and the CanYa 2.0 platform being released over the coming months, the utility of CanYaCoin is set to increase rapidly.

Development Update: Releases Coming Soon

CanYa_COMING-SOON.png

Both CanYa 2.0 and the Bountysource platforms will soon integrate CAN as a payment options for all transaction with the pending release of product version updates.

We are slightly ahead of our scheduled development and are already approaching a public release of our ‘pre-Alpha’ CanYa web app.

Expanding Team

The CanYa and Bountysource teams have been rapidly expanding to support product development and community growth. The team has doubled in size across projects, to support development, marketing, and community management functions around the world. We have enthusiastic and motivated community managers from numerous countries approaching us daily to join team CanYa!

The Bountysource platform has a brand-new team that have just spent the last week in Malaysia to plan out the project with Bountysource’s new Project Lead, new UX/UI designers and refreshed suite of talented developers.

To demonstrate the teams faith in the CAN token, staff are opting to be rewarded in CAN tokens. The CAN token buy back is an excellent opportunity to purchase tokens to allocate towards staff resources for the coming years.

This CAN will be allocated towards team rewards across marketing, operations and development resources over the next 12 – 24 months.

The purchase of up to $2m (AUD) of $CAN from the open-market will start today, and continue to occur over the coming weeks, as dictated by the market opportunity.
